Help guide 2 of 4

For caregivers: logging day-to-day care

Your job in the app is simple: record what actually happened during your time on duty, so the next person knows exactly where things stand.

  • Check in and out of your shifts
  • Confirm medications were given, or log an as-needed dose
  • Add notes to appointments
  • Mark exercises and activities as done
  • Write a free-form note about anything else

Adding, editing, or removing appointments, medications, or shifts themselves is handled by a Care Coordinator or Admin - see the end of this guide if something needs to be scheduled or changed.

Your Home screen

Everything important is summarized on the Home tab the moment you log in:

CardWhat it tells you
Shift statusWho's scheduled now, whether they've checked in, and who's actually on duty
MedicationsWhat's next due, plus as-needed medications and when each was last given
Next appointmentThe next upcoming appointment or milestone

If something's been missed - a shift, a dose, coverage for an upcoming day - you'll see a highlighted alert right at the top of Home.

Checking in and out of shifts

  1. Tap Check in on the Home screen, or the Shifts tab at the bottom, then Check in.
  2. If you're taking over from someone already on duty, leave I'm relieving whoever is on dutyswitched on - this ends their shift and starts yours. Turn it off if you're just stopping by.
  3. Add a note if you'd like, then tap Check in.

When you're done, go back to the same screen and tap Check out- you can check yourself out any time, even if nobody's arrived yet to take over.

Logging medications

Open the Meds tab. Medications with a set schedule are grouped by time of day (e.g. 8:00 AM).

  1. Tap Log next to the time group.
  2. Every medication in that group is checked by default. If one of them wasn't actually given, uncheck it - the rest will still be recorded.
  3. Add a note if useful.
  4. Tap Confirm.

As-needed medications appear in their own As needed section further down, each with its own Log button and a reminder of when it was last given.

Adding a note to an appointment

Open the Appts tab, find the appointment, type into the Add a note field beneath it, and tap Add. Notes stack up under the appointment so everyone can see the history.

Marking exercises & activities done

Open the Activity tab. For anything not yet done today, add an optional note and tap Mark done.

Logging anything else

For anything that doesn't fit the categories above, use the Logtab. Describe what happened, adjust the time if it wasn't just now, and tap Log it.

Staying in the loop

Tap the bell icon at the top of the screen to turn on push notifications for missed medications, shift gaps, and upcoming appointments.
