Privacy Policy

Effective July 16, 2026

Ninny Notes ("Ninny Notes," "we," "us") is a private caretaking coordination application used by an invited group of family members and caregivers to coordinate care for a single care recipient. It is not a public product or service - accounts are created or approved by an administrator, and access is limited to people directly involved in that care. This policy explains what information we collect through the app and how it's used.

Information we collect

When an account is created, we collect a name, phone number and/or email address, and relationship to the care recipient. As the app is used, caregivers enter care-related information, including medication schedules and confirmations, shift check-in/check-out times, appointment details and notes, activity logs, and free-text notes about the care recipient.

How we use information

Information collected in Ninny Notes is used solely to coordinate caregiving among the approved caregivers and administrators for the one care recipient the app serves. This includes displaying care records to other approved caregivers, and sending notifications - by SMS text message, push notification, and/or email - related to caregiving coordination, such as medication reminders, shift updates, appointment alerts, and missed-task escalations.

Text messaging (SMS)

If you provide a phone number and opt in, Ninny Notes may send you SMS text messages related to caregiving coordination (medication reminders, shift updates, appointment alerts, and escalation notices). Message frequency varies based on caregiving activity. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or reply HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the categories of information described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information is not shared with any third parties.

Sharing of information

We do not sell or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Information is shared only with the service providers Ninny Notes relies on to operate - such as our database/hosting provider, our SMS delivery provider, and, where a caregiver connects it, Google Calendar - and only as needed to provide the app's functionality to you and the other approved caregivers.

Data retention

Care records are retained only as long as needed for caregiving coordination, per a retention period configured by the administrator, after which older records are automatically purged.

Data security

Access to Ninny Notes is restricted to approved caregivers and administrators, and care data is only visible to accounts approved for the care recipient it concerns. We use reasonable technical safeguards to protect this information, but no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

Children's privacy

Ninny Notes is intended for use by adult family members and caregivers, and is not directed to or knowingly used by children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
